Hal Graham "Captain" was a dear friend of ours. He flew us all over the Southeast for our business. We couldn't have picked a more perfect pilot if we had tried. He was a brillant, articulate man who had a passion for aviation. We were awaiting his license renewal for some upcoming flights and had received a call from him last week in regards to flying. Our hearts are heavy as we try to deal with this loss.

We are not a part of the rocketbelt community, and hadn't realized just what a following he had...we only knew him as Captain, and had heard his stories of the rocketbelt. He didn't make a big deal about it, but his eyes sparkled when he spoke of it.

Thank you for the very well written article to honor him.

A dear friend of mine has just passed away this Friday, October 22nd. I was informed of his death while I was in Tampa, Florida on a business trip. This news has simply devastated me, and I am still trying to work through it.

I've known Hal for almost 20 years, and we had a very good relationship. I had been working with Hal on a couple project over the past year which he was VERY excited about. I was on the phone with him quite a bit as recently as a couple weeks ago.

Hals passing is a large loss to the rocketbelt community, and to the aviation community in general. We have lost a true pioneer. I have lost my hero and my friend.

His EMINENCE "as he became warmly known as" will be greatly missed by everyone in the Rocket-belt community. Those of us who had the good fortune to meet Hal, knew him to be have a "one of a kind" personality. My condolences go out to his family and Millie.
